Helen Y. Hutchison is a fine art oil painter specializing in animal and human portraits and landscapes. She is a 2015 graduate of the four-year program of the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore, Maryland, one of America’s leading independent ateliers. Her dog portraits have won numerous honors, including two blue ribbons and one second place award at the annual Fur to Feathers animal competition and a second place award at the MPSGS Annual Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature. She has continued her professional education under many world class instructors, including Beth de Loiselle, Carol Lee Thompson, Matt Smith, Scott Christensen, Jill Carver, and Christine Lashley. She is a member of the Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society (MPSGS) of Washington DC and the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association.
