Werner Rentsch has painted many portraits of great and near-great horses; his subjects include racing, show jumping, fox hunting, polo, farm scenes, and carousel horse paintings. Werner studied at the Art Students League of New York and the Pratt Institute. He has been honored with nine one-man shows and his work was shown in twelve museum exhibitions and in more than forty juried or group shows in America. He served as President of the American Academy of Equine Art from 1994 through 2008. He is a Signature member of Artists for Conservation. His paintings are widely sought after by collectors around the world.
