Catrina Monroe

Catrina Monroe, a self-taught artist, has been painting portraits since 1994 when she met her mentor, Connie Erickson, a former student of Daniel Green. A native of northern Alabama, Catrina grew up on the banks of the Tennessee River. As an only child with lots of animals, she was constantly riding and drawing horses. She teaches riding, trains colts and has even broken wild Mustangs while living in Colorado. Presently Catrina lives in central Tennessee horse country. Past exhibitions have been in Colorado and the southeast. Catrina Monroe’s paintings have been featured on magazine covers, The Chronicle of the Horse and Bliss.
